Ask the Visual Studio .net Experts

A friend of mine (Hi Jordi) passed on a link for CF Vs Visual Studio .net?. I love these sort of columns, especially which are even sponsored by Microsoft. In a nutshell if you're on Windows, sticking with Windows, and never gonna consider moving from Windows, then .NET is the only option. Because if you want to develop/use Coldfusion you will need

  1. "Web server software" err, by owning Windows (or not paying for Linux/apache) this is not an issue
  2. To pay out for "Database software" - have i missed something or is .NET a DB as well??
These columns/articles only serve to help one type of person, and thats the Microsoft developer who argues why to stick with Microsoft to an Microsoft company.

End small rant.

So I haven't followed the link yet - I will - but the title seems stupid. CF versus Visual Studio.Net? CF is an application server. VS.Net is an IDE. I hope that really isn't the name of the article. ;)

Ray, Don't know if you read the article in the end but the title of the page is

Coldfusion Vs VS.net

And the first link of the first paragraph reads

ColdFusion versus Visual Studio .NET seems like an easy choice

:o)
