I got my Xbox 360

I have finally got my Xbox 360 after sticking my name on several list over the last couple of weeks. Getting the old games working wasnt as straight forward as i thought it was going to be. I checked out the Compatible list of xbox games but then found out you need to run an update first.

I've picked up American Wasteland but still looking for other games - what does everyone else recommend (or stay away from)??

I do not have _personal_ experience with these two games, but I did see reviews on G4:

Perfect Dark Zero - they said it had some bugs in it. From what I saw - it didn't look worth the price. Maybe when it hits the cheap selves.

Gun - they said it was a bit too easy.

Really depends on what kind of games you like to play off course.
I'm having a blast with Call Of Duty 2... Need For Speed: Most Wanted, Project Gotham 3 and sometimes even a little Tiger Woods to chill out. But my favorite's definitely Call Of Duty2

Keep an eye out for Ghost Recon and Full Auto... These are going to be amazing...

I got Call of Duty 2, and while it looks good, so far i don't find it as fun as the Halo's. It is amazingly chaotic -- wow. I'm not big on the 1st-person thing though, so YMMV.

Now, PGR3... Where to start... BEAUTIFUL. While the "sunny day" races are great looking, the "overcast" and "night" games are where i think the graphics really shine (sometimes quite literally). Now, i haven't played the Career Mode portion -- only the xbox live stuff. So impressive. I've spent the last few nights playing with co-workers. The wireless controller with headset makes in-game chatting enjoyable; not being tethered to the console just to chat is awesome. If you are a social gamer, i would recommend PGR3 just for that aspect. It's sometimes nice to play multi-player games that don't involve killing something. :-)

PGR3 does look blinding. Im defo looking at getting into the Live options now with the 360. I do like all sorts - it depends on the mood. Im gonna head over to the video shop later at rent out a few for the weekend. Though i got my Pro Evo 5 game working now which is one of my fav games. Plus the new EA NHL game comes out - im not a hocky fan but the games are blinding to play drunk with mates :o)

I have quite a few games now... all of em were fun.

PDZ - this is the only game I have that I have not completed the story mode. I think PDZ is more a stealth/action FPS game. I enjoy it but I dont really care for the online mode.

CoD2 - I am sure you know... this is a great game

DOA4 - If you are into fighting games, this is insane... though very very very hard. This is the only XBox360 game that has made me want to throw my controller over and over and over again. I would say this is the most competitive game on XBox Live.

NBA 2k6 - This is my least played game. Not totally sure why. Online mode is fun (lag free), it allows you to run to tournaments and stuff or just jump in and play one game. I think its mainly because I dont keep up with basketball, so I dont know most of the player's names.

PGR - agree with everyone else... its a great game.

Condemned - I really enjoyed this game. Great story, graphics, sound. Be warned... it is for a VERY mature audience as you will be able to tell from the first level. No online mode though and a pretty short game (8-10 hours).

Dont forget about the cheap but addicting arcade games either :)
